Audiobook Production Reimagined

Oh, the Joy — Oh, the PAIN — of Making Audiobooks

Everything You Need

Stay in the script. Let AudLit handle the rest.

Import

Just upload your script or book. AudLit supports DOCX, PDF, EPUB, FB2, RTF, HTML, and TXT — detects your chapters automatically, builds your teleprompter, and writes your opening and closing credits. You’ll be recording in minutes.

Record

Record freely with a teleprompter that listens. AudLit’s voice-following teleprompter scrolls at your pace — not a fixed speed. Pause for a retake or mark it with a keystroke, and it automatically scrolls back to the paragraph start. Stop mid-chapter and it remembers where you left off. Your levels stay on spec, mistakes stay invisible, and if something still isn’t right — punch it in later. (Voice following requires Chrome.)

Best Take

Re-read a paragraph once or ten times. AudLit compares every attempt against your manuscript and picks the best one. No editing. No decisions. Just your best performance, assembled automatically.

Master

Hit Master. AudLit applies a full professional audio treatment — ACX, broadcast, corporate, or custom specifications — and tells you exactly which chapters pass before you export. Nothing to configure. Nothing to install. AudLit optimizes great recordings — it works best with a dedicated USB or XLR microphone.

Collaborate

Your editor doesn’t need software, an account, or any technical knowledge. Just an invitation. They listen to the audio, highlight specific passages in the manuscript to leave text comments or voice notes, and flag anything that needs attention. You see every note instantly.

Fix It

Every note your reviewer leaves is pinned to the exact paragraph in your manuscript. Work through them one by one, record each fix, verify it matches — and annotations resolve automatically. From feedback to finished without touching a waveform.

Audiobooks, auditions, and beyond

One app for every voice job

Audiobook chapter, casting audition, corporate module, radio spot, or phone tree — record it the same way, then master it to the exact spec the job demands.

Auditions

Slate · master · track every submission

Record, slate, and master a sample to spec in minutes, then see on one board which genres and voices win you the work.

Audiobooks

ACX · 44.1kHz · -18 to -23 dB RMS

Chapter after chapter, assembled from your best takes and mastered ACX-ready — no engineer, no rejections.

eLearning & Corporate

48kHz/24-bit · -20 LUFS · TP -2 dBTP

Module and explainer narration that lands on the LMS at broadcast-clean loudness, WAV or MP3.

Commercials & Social

-16 LUFS · true peak -1 dBTP

Web, podcast, and social spots mastered to platform loudness in one click.

Broadcast

ATSC A/85 (-24) · EBU R128 (-23)

US and EU broadcast loudness with true-peak metering built in, ready for the station.

IVR & Telephony

8kHz · phone-ready MP3

Prompt sets exported clean and consistent for the phone system, no post work.

Every preset runs the same ITU-R BS.1770 LUFS and true-peak metering the standards demand, and a per-file compliance check confirms it passes before you export. Need a client’s own numbers? The Custom profile takes any target.

From audition to audiobook

Win the role here. Produce the book here.

An audition is where the work starts. AudLit records and masters your sample to ACX spec, tracks every submission on your board, and the moment you book the job, turns that same project into your audiobook. The tool that wins you the role produces the finished book.

Audition

Simple Process

How It Works

1

Import your script or manuscript

Upload a book, an audition script, or any read. AudLit detects the structure and builds your teleprompter automatically — plus opening and closing credits for audiobooks. When you’re ready, just start recording.

2

Record naturally

Your teleprompter follows your voice — no foot pedals, no fixed scroll speed. Read faster or slower, and stop mid-chapter to pick up exactly where you left off next session. Flub a line? Pause between takes, or press Enter to mark the retake, then read it again — AudLit keeps the best version of every paragraph, so it’s already there when you’re done.

3

Clean up automatically

This is where the magic happens. AudLit analyzes every take, selects the best version of every paragraph, and assembles a clean, verified recording — automatically. What you hear is your best performance, start to finish.

4

Master and deliver

From manuscript to finished master — this is the last step. One click masters your audio to your chosen output specification, a compliance report confirms every chapter passes, and your finished files are ready to deliver. No engineer required.

Chapters

Your manuscript. Your voice. Your machine.

Your voice stays yours.

We never use your recordings to train any AI model, and we never create a synthetic or cloned copy of your voice. The takes you record are saved straight to a folder on your own device. Two kinds of copies leave: audio sent to our speech-to-text provider for transcription, which is deleted from our servers right after processing, and — only when you choose to share a chapter for review — a mastered MP3, which we store until you delete it.

Know you’ll meet specifications before you upload.

AudLit masters every chapter or script to your chosen output specification automatically — ACX, broadcast, corporate, or custom. The per-file compliance report is just confirmation — your audio is already ready. No manual checking, no rejected submissions.

Your files are yours. Always — even if you cancel.

Your recordings and finished audio live on your computer, not ours. Export to any format, deliver to any platform, cancel any time. Your work is yours — before, during, and after any subscription.
